Independent Solicitor Working for You
I am a solicitor who qualified in 1997 and since then I have been acting for individuals making claims for injury sustained in accidents and as a result of medical negligence.
It is therefore not surprising that I have gained considerable expertise in these areas and am recommended in the Legal 500.
I have a recent Master’s Degree in healthcare law and ethics and therefore combine the latest knowledge of developments in this area, with over 20 years’ experience. Healthcare law encompasses medical negligence but also many related fields such as mental health, mental capacity, deprivation of liberty and health and social care. I can accordingly offer a holistic approach to healthcare cases looking at all angles. This can be of great benefit, for example in considering whether a mental health patient may have been negligently treated, an understanding of mental health law, as well as as the law relating to medical negligence, is essential.
My other area of practice is business and individual dispute resolution which I have also been doing since 1997. I am passionate about a pro-active approach to resolution saving time, stress and money. I have developed particular expertise in contentious probate work, and am happy to consider deferred fees for this type of case.
I have offices in Norwich and Great Yarmouth and work through Scott-Moncrieff, a major London based virtual law firm with a national network of independent solicitors. Like all Scott-Moncrieff lawyers, this allows me the freedom to be completely flexible in where and when I see people, as I am not tied to office hours or particular locations. Consequently, my overheads are much lower so I can offer reasonable rates to my clients. I can also call on the expertise of Scott-Moncrieff colleagues across the country, many of whom have been involved in high-profile, landmark cases.
